Reluctant Researcher — Preface
Dear Readers,
The following series of blog posts, all starting with the title ‘Reluctant Researcher’. The primary purpose of the posts is to embrace my shortcomings and to some extent my strengths and say it out loud. Our sub-continental culture forces us to not embrace our shortcomings and hide it somewhere which leads us to blame others for our failures.
I also wanted to document my journey from being a reluctant researcher to finally trying to become a determined and eager one and hence the tagline. The posts also highlight the different obstacles and problems I have faced, things that I have enjoyed and things I have not.
Another purpose is that may be somewhere out there there might be another person who is going through or has went through the same feelings, emotions and circumstances as I have and this series might help him in dealing with reality.

Disclaimer: This term, ‘Reluctant Researcher’, though used in the literature before, was something I came up on my own before I realized that it has been used earlier. However, even after trying out some other titles, I strongly felt that it is the right title to depict my journey.
